Will TechCrunch Disrupt San Francisco 2013 Totally Disrupt and Rock Our World?
Techcrunch Disrupt is always exciting and disruptive. The next one in San Francisco, is coming up in 2 weeks and looks like it will be massive. During the last Disrupt conference in NY, the energy never stopped. Wear your walking shoes and expect to talk and listen a lot!
I will be sending live updates a LOT to stay tuned on Twitter for short updates and longer ones in blog posts, etc.
TC Disrupt is a unique event as the talks are VERY SHORT and panels are BRIEF. There is representation of a wide-variety of technology AREAS. Wacky is welcome and so is conventional. A space that you can be who you are, do what you want, AS LONG AS you are keeping parties interested and stimulated! Hence you need to have super-intelligent (grabbing) conversations. The Exec talks are less BS and much more substance, so you can actually learn about what is coming up. AND generally, no Powerpoint Presentations either!
Here is a taste of some of the sessions I am particularly looking forward to:
Day 1- Monday September 9:
1. Jeff Weiner’s talking about LinkedIn
2. Drew Houston discussing Dropbox
3. Ellen Levy as one of the judges on the Battlefield competition
Day 2- Tuesday September 10:
1. Mark Benioff updating us about SalesForce.com
2. The after party hosted by SAP Big Data at Temple!
Day 3- Wednesday September 11:
1. Reid Hoffman updating us regarding his thoughts (tech trends)
2. Tom Preston-Werner discussing GitHub
3. Marissa Mayer sharing her thoughts about the future of Yahoo
And watching the Hackathon, The Startup Battlefield AND checking out the start-ups at Startup Alley. All coming to you virtually with my live updates.
And of course, the many startups that will be there are all part of disrupting and innovating today’s world. Tomorrow’s blog will discuss the start-up climate and what to watch for.
Stay tuned as I will be covering the key points via live social media channels! Connect with me: @Linda_Bernardi
