I don’t think I have ever enjoyed any of my job titles as much as I have when I was referred to as a change agent, provocateur and disruptor. More than anything it meant that there was room for change and disruption.

It also allows us to have the right dialog, not about how things are, rather what things can change into???!

A few years ago this title would not only have not been offered to me, but would have been hugely resented and resisted. Today, I am being invited to go in for the purpose of disruption. This transition has taken place over the last 3-4 years and today it is hugely pronounced. So, thank you for giving me the opportunity to work with you and bring about the seeds of change and disruption.

And from disruption comes innovation and new possibilities. Without disruption, we have static, non evolving and the same as before.

Disruption does not mean chaos, rather it allows a methodical way of exploring possibilities and new dimensions. When disruption is not allowed, innovation is almost impossible.

So, this is a shout out to my clients who are so awesome in having this critical dialog, to conferences who are inviting me to speak and to the audiences who want to have the dialog of disruption…you are all members of the culture of disruption.

Thank you for allowing me to start the dialog and I so look forward to learning from all of you as we explore the new possibilities.
